I recently fell in love with the brand SkinCeuticals. They are a skincare line that specializes in three areas, prevent, protect, and correct. They have a number of different lines with products that fit distinct skin types. What I love about SkinCeuticals is that the younger demographic it is introduced to a preventative product that still feels fresh and nourishing to the skin, with information on the value or skin health, vitamin penetration and youth management not only information on correcting. What has me using SkinCeuticals are their nourishing and hydrating products. They designed their products to cater to clients in the form of at home spa and dermatologist case, looking after all levels of damage and aging. SkinCeuticals believes that it's important to have a proper regime and to take care of your skin from the beginning. This is something I have always believed in from the beginning, so has my mother and my grandmother before her. There is never a time too early to cater to skin care. SkinCeuticals also believes in a strong SPF to protect from the sun, reducing sun damage, sun spots and making sure that your skin is hydrated with the right vitamins to combat the UV. SkinCeuticals works to replenish nutrients and moisture lost in the skin, whether from sun damage or winter dryness.
These products have been a savior for me even after just a couple of weeks. I have also been lucky enough to work with my skin care expert Sacha Bourdage at Victoria Park Medi Spa who was the first to recommend these products to me. I tried out the daily moisturizer and the B5 gel that she suggested as my skin was going to become a lot more dry in the winter months, and as I go through my BroadBand Light treatments with her. I am now hooked to a few other products from SkinCeuticals and have implemented a three-step process to prevent, correct and protect.
After washing my face and neck, I apply the Serum 10, which is used to protect against environmental damage and can also reduce premature aging. The best part for me is that it is also optimal for sensitive skin, which is common in fair, freckled people. I am prone to sensitivity and so these points are necessary to consider when switching around any skin care products. You only require a few drops from the serum, and then spread it on your face and neck.
The second step to my SkinCeuticals regime is applying to B5 gel. This is an oil free hydrating serum that brings back moisture into the cells. It's great for all skin types but especially dryer areas of the skin. It will also leave any bumpy, rough skin smooth while allowing clogged pores to feel breathable.
The thirds and final step to this plan is applying a moisturizer with SPF sunscreen to make sure that you're taking care of any sun damage before it happens. SkinCeuticals has a Sheer Physical UV Defense cream with SPF 50 that works great to prevent UV damage to the skin.
The biggest differentiation I notice with SkinCeuticals is how late they feel on my skin. The oil free component to the product is amazing but the light texture and the limited amount that you need to get the benefits of the product are the what set them apart with plenty of vitamins and the serums that leave your skin feeling fresh.
