Recipe Headers.png

My fam has been eating @drpraegers burgers for as long as I can remember. Recently my dad has been making this incredible veggie burger dish loaded up with a spicy sauce and it’s so yummy I had to get him to make the recipe for you all. Check out my vid of our collab effort with my dad and I HERE! Thanks AC!

All Dr.Praegers veggies burgers are plant-based and non-GMO project certified. You can also find many varieties that are certified gluten and soy free!

Spicy Dinner Bowls with Dr.Praeger’s Patties

Makes 4

Type Vegan, Gluten Free

Time 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 Small Squash

  • 4 Carrots

  • 2 Zucchini

  • 1 Cup of Quinoa

  • Dr.Praeger's Vegan Patties

  • Garlic Scapes

  • Hot Sauce: 4 tbsps olive oil, 2 tbsp honey, 1ml Siracha, 4-5 tbsps soya sauce or Tamari

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F

  2. Then start chopping up your squash, carrots and zucchini, add salt/pepper and olive oil then toss in the oven.

  3. Toss some quinoa on the stove. (2 cups water or broth : 1 cup quinoa)

  4. Defrost the Dr.Praeger’s Vegan Patties, heat a pan on the stove, add oil and flash fry them, (you want them to get crispy!) To do this heat the pan for a minute on high prior to adding the oil, add a splash or 2 of olive oil or avocado oil, wait another minute or so. Keep your pan at high and then add in the Dr.Praeger’s Patties and cover immediately. You will want to cover them because you are trying to get them crispy, so oil my splatter if not. You can add on top your garlic scapes to make them crispy and tasty for your bowl as well.

  5. While everything cooks make your hot sauce.

  6. After 10 minutes or so you can take your veggies out to toss and add in 2/3 of the hot sauce on the veggies.

  7. Layer your bowl with quinoa, veggies and Dr.Praeger’s Vegan Patties, and hot sauce. Add in anything else you might want on top like sprouts, or cold veggies like avocado or cucumber.

Notes

  • I topped mine with avocado & sprouts for some extra freshness!
